As part of the York Region Athletics Association, J Addison School believes in a holistic education, where sports play a crucial role in the overall development of future leaders.  Our goal is to strengthen essential life skills such as perseverance, resilience, collaboration, and leadership, providing students with a sense of belonging, an opportunity to decompress, and time to bond with classmates, celebrate, and have fun.

The York Region Athletics Association and its member schools strive to provide high standards of competition, maximize participation in athletics, promote a closer relationship between schools, and encourage fair play, good sportsmanship, and a spirit of good fellowship.

Amr Ali

Athletic Department Director

Amr Ali, has a Bachelor’s in Physical Education, an Ontario College of Teachers certification, and an NCCP coaching certificate. As an Athletic Director and a Physical Education teacher, he has dedicated himself to teaching sports and health, followed by a strong emphasis on fitness. He have helped students earn sports scholarships worldwide, and created teams that excel, fostering a positive environment that promotes overall well-being and teamwork.

As a coach, he focuses on discipline, teamwork, and personal growth, creating a consistent training environment where athletes improve individually and as a team. He emphasize respect, integrity, and positive reinforcement to keep motivation high. Above all, he prioritize the health and well-being of athletes, helping them build both physical strength and mental resilience.
