The Role of Sports in Shaping Future Leaders at J Addison School

J Addison School believes in a holistic education, where sports in high school play a crucial role in the overall development of future leaders.  It is well known that high school sports and other extracurricular activities strengthen essential life skills such as, perseverance, resilience, collaboration, and leadership.  In addition to these advantages, participating in sports provides students with a sense of belonging, an opportunity to decompress, and time to bond with classmates, celebrate and have fun.

These are all reasons why we celebrate the recent launch of our Volleyball and Soccer teams at J Addison School.  We would like to extend our congratulations to our dedicated students for their passion, effort and commitment to every practice and game. Over the past month, they have shown discipline and dedication during training sessions. We also want to recognize our caring staff and team of coaches who have done an extraordinary work in guiding and supporting our athletes.  As we emphasize, sports in high school are an integral part of student development at J Addison, preparing them for future life challenges.

The York Region Athletics Association and its member schools strive to provide high standards of competition, maximize participation in athletics, promote a closer relationship between schools and encourage fair play, good sportsmanship and a spirit of good fellowship.

Stay updated on upcoming high school sports events by following our social media and website calendar. We are also excited to announce the upcoming launch of additional sports such as Girls Basketball, Girls Volleyball, Boys Basketball, Co-ed Badminton, Girls Soccer and Table Tennis.
